AOCC physicians have extensive knowledge and experience in infusion of biologic medications in the treatment of rheumatic and inflammatory disorders.
AOCC infuses Remicade, Rituxan, Orencia, Benlysta, Reclast, Actemra, Simponi Aria and IVIG.
Terri is a native of Charlotte, NC with 32 years nursing experience and is a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC.
Terri’s experience includes 10 years of emergency room nursing, 3 years of plastic surgery, rheumatology nursing and 11 years of rheumatology infusion nursing. She is BCLS certified and has clinical research drug therapy experience. Terri is a member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society.
Brenda grew up in Hawaii and California before moving to NC. She is a 2000 graduate of Central Piedmont Community College School of Nursing.
Brenda has 2 years experience in medical-surgical nursing with Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC and 10 years of rheumatology infusion nursing experience with AOCC. She is BCLS certified.
Clara is a native of Charlotte, NC and a graduate of Presbyterian School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC.
Clara worked for 23 years in Oncology, Hematology at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
She worked 5½ years with Mecklenburg Medical Group Infusion Unit in Oncology, Hematology, and Rheumatology.
She is certified in BCLS, ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy. Clara also has experience in clinical research drug therapy. She has been with AOCC for 1 year.
Marty is a native of Florida and is a graduate of Pensacola State College School of Nursing.
She has 25 years of nursing experience including 20 years administering Chemotherapy/Biotherapy. She is ONS Biotherapy/Chemotherapy certified and has clinical research drug therapy experience. She has administered Rheumatology and Gastroenterology IV medications for 10 years and was a member of an IV Team/PICC Team for more than 10 years. Marty is BCLS certified and has competency in basic cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Sandy is a native of Latrobe, PA and a wonderful addition to our infusion suite. She brings several years experience in nursing and her bright smile and sparkling personality to AOCC. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Wesleyan College in West Virginia in 1979
She has over 30 years of nursing experience including Medical-Surgical, Critical Care (CCU), Cardiovascular nursing as well as Gastroenterology and minor operating room nursing which included Conscious Sedation. She also has Rheumatology infusion unit management experience. Sandy joined AOCC in 2014
Gabi is also one of our newest infusion nurses and is a delightful addition to AOCC.
Gabi also has over 20 years experience in nursing including chemotherapy and rheumatology.
We provide wireless internet access as well as TVs for viewing to make your time with us a pleasant experience.
Patients are able to move about to use the restroom while receiving their treatment. Patients can also bring food or a snack to enjoy while at AOCC.
