Dr. Gary B. Maniloff, M.D., board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology with Arthritis & Osteoporosis Consultants of the Carolinas (AOCC), will retire after 39 years of practicing medicine.
Dr. Maniloff graduated from State University of New York at Albany, Yale University, and Sackler School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1986 and practiced on Long Island for 7 years before moving to Charlotte and practicing at the Nalle Clinic. In 2000, he became a founding partner of Arthritis and Osteoporosis Consultants of the Carolinas where he has practiced ever since.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Maniloff made innumerable contributions to healthcare, rheumatology, and his community. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in the growth and success of AOCC. He is deeply beloved by his patients and colleagues alike for his willingness to listen and provide thorough personable care.
“One of the most attractive parts of rheumatology is the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients. We provide an initial diagnosis and then treat patients over the course of their disease for many years and oftentimes decades. They become like family,” said Maniloff.
During his years of practice, Dr. Maniloff has received numerous awards including Top Doctor in Rheumatology for the Center of Study of Services (2002, 2011) as well as the Patient’s Choice Award (2008-2012). He has been a member of the American College of Rheumatology, North Carolina Medical Society, and Mecklenburg County Medical Society.
Dr. Maniloff would like to thank all of his patients over the years who have entrusted their care to him along with his partners, staff, and the administration that have made the past 39 years such a gratifying experience.
